Privacy Policy

How we handle your personal data — written to align with India’s Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) Act, 2023.

Template — not legal advice

This page is a good-faith template provided for general information only. It is not legal advice and may not reflect the latest law applicable to you. Please have it reviewed and adapted by a qualified professional before relying on it.

This Privacy Policy explains how Contract Farming India (“we”, “us”), a brand of Agpro Consulting Private Limited, collects and processes personal data when you use this website or contact us. We act as the Data Fiduciary for the personal data described here.

What we collect

  • Information you give us — when you submit an enquiry: your name, email, phone/WhatsApp number, organisation or group, crop/commodity, region and your message.
  • Technical & usage data — basic, largely aggregated analytics (e.g. pages visited, device/browser type). See our Cookie Policy.

How and why we use it (purpose & lawful basis)

  • To respond to your enquiry and provide advisory/facilitation services.
  • To communicate with you about your request.
  • To operate, secure and improve this website.
  • To meet legal and regulatory obligations.

We process your data on the basis of your consent (which you give when you submit the enquiry form and accept analytics) and our legitimate need to respond to and manage your request. We ask only for what we need and use it only for the purpose you provided it.

Sharing & processors

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with trusted service providers who help us operate — for example our email delivery provider (Resend), hosting and analytics providers — who process data on our instructions. Where a buyer–farmer introduction is involved, we share details only with your knowledge.

Retention

We keep enquiry data only as long as needed to address your request and for a reasonable period afterwards for our records and legal compliance, after which it is deleted or anonymised.

Your rights under the DPDP Act

As a Data Principal, you have the right to:

  • access a summary of the personal data we process about you;
  • request correction, completion or updating of your data;
  • request erasure of your data, subject to legal requirements;
  • withdraw consent at any time (this will not affect processing done before withdrawal);
  • nominate another individual to exercise your rights; and
  • grievance redressal (see below).

Security

We apply reasonable technical and organisational safeguards to protect your data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information and limit access to it.

Children

This site is intended for businesses, farmers and organisations. We do not knowingly collect data from children. Where required, we will obtain verifiable parental/guardian consent in line with the DPDP Act.

Grievance redressal & contact

To exercise any right or raise a privacy concern, contact us at info@agproconsulting.com. We will respond within the timelines required by applicable law.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be available on this page.
